Cinematics Producer
Creative Assembly is looking for a Cinematics Producer to join our talented team to work on our new project, a sequel to Alien: Isolation.
This role will be based at our studio in Horsham, UK and can be offered as hybrid within country of employment. Further details can be discussed during the recruitment process. Key responsibilities
- Overview and manage our cinematics both internally and externally
- Build and maintain production schedules for cinematic sequences (cutscenes, trailers, in-game narrative scenes).
- Track milestones, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Work closely with Art and Creative Directors, animators, lighting artists, writers, editors, and audio teams.
- Oversee the creation, integration, and delivery of cinematic assets (models, rigs, animation, VFX, etc.).
- Help refine pipelines to ensure smooth collaboration between departments (art, design, narrative, engineering).
- Manage external vendors or outsourcing studios contributing to cinematics.
- Track feedback from directors and stakeholders and ensure notes are addressed promptly.
- Conduct regular playthroughs and reviews to monitor cinematic quality and integration.
- Proactively identify production risks and bottlenecks and resolve them.
- Manage budgets related to motion capture shoots, VO sessions, outsourcing, and other cinematic expenses.
Essential Experience
- Having shipped at least one full-scale game with significant cinematic content.
- Working with third-party studios or freelancers and integrating their work into the main production pipeline.
- Solid background in project management
- Familiarity with project tracking tools (ideally JIRA).
- Understanding of the full game development lifecycle and where cinematics fit into it.
- Experience working with animation pipelines (previs → layout → blocking → final animation → lighting → final render).
- Familiarity with terms like mocap (motion capture), storyboarding, editing, voiceover (VO) production.
- Excellent cross-discipline communication, from artists and animators to tech engineers and external partners.
- Ability to maintain clear production documentation, reports, and workflows.
Desired (Nice-to-Have) Experience
- Hands-on experience with game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity)
