Audience Research & Insights Manager - (12 month FTC)

Creative Assembly is looking for Audience Research & Insights Manager, who will work with a network of teams who all contribute towards building and maintaining Creative Assembly's understanding of Audience, including Brand, Player Experience, User Research(UXR), Game Analytics & Community. You will monitor and use insight from all these sources and more to maintain a deep and holistic understanding of the dynamics of key audience cohorts. You will also work closely with the Consumer Insight team at SEGA.A critical aspect of the role will be to use your experience and technical knowledge to recommend, plan, facilitate, oversee and share findings from market and consumer research and other resources. You will also champion the value of audience insight, educating and helping others to navigate the pitfalls, nuance and complexity of working with various methodologies and data sources in an irresponsible and rigorous way. You will pursue opportunities for Creative Assembly to improve acquisition and use of audience insight. The role is hybrid, and you will typically work from the Horsham Studio three days per week. This will be discussed during the interview process. CA has the right to change requirements based on the needs of the business. Key responsibilities
On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • Work with Creative Assembly Franchise and Project leadership teams to identify, define, prioritize and plan research initiatives.
  • Work with the Consumer Insight team at SEGA to facilitate the design and execution of primary and secondary research, using a number of methods including focus groups, interviews, surveys, market sizing, audience segmentation, exploratory research, ethnography and field studies, ensuring best practice is maintained at all times.
  • Proactively identify opportunities based on audience insight that will support commercial growth, player satisfaction, and risk management.
  • Develop, maintain and socialize research strategy, roadmaps and schedules, across a variety of CA's development projects.
  • Independently analyze, interpret and visualize data and collaborate with teams to transform data into actionable insights.
  • Guide and advise Senior project collaborators and leadership in a tactful and persuasive manner to create deep understanding, clarity and alignment on take-aways, implications and actions.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to support broader analytics and insights work that drives business impact.
  • Leverage and suggest new sources for quality, relevant data and insight.
  • Evangelize data-informed philosophy and share knowledge of methods and best practices with others at all levels of the business.


Knowledge, Skill and ExperienceEssential

  • Undergraduate degree in psychology, cognitive science, behavioral science, human-computer interaction, game design, game development, market research and related field
  • Experience working in user or market research.
  • Deep understanding and technical expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • High knowledge base of behavioral science, video games market, gameplay mechanics, player motivation and design theory.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication (both written and verbal), organizational and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in presentation, spreadsheet, and word processing programs.

 

Desirable

  • Proficiency in SPSS, Power BI, SurveyMonkey
  • Experience in the video games industry, especially AAA console/PC products
  • Experience in data manipulation and statistical software
  • Real passion for data, insight and video games
  • Knowledge of the Total War Franchise
